Privacy Policy — Proudify

Proudify ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Obii Kriationz Web LLP. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit proudify.in and use our digital certificate platform. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the platform.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and organisation details.
Certificate data: When you issue certificates, we store recipient names, email addresses, and certificate content you provide.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store full card details. We retain transaction IDs and order amounts for billing records.
Usage data: We automatically collect log data including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URLs to operate and improve the platform.
Cookies: We use cookies for session management and analytics. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide the service: Create and manage your account, issue certificates, and send them to recipients.
Process payments: Verify and record certificate order transactions.
Send communications: Deliver transactional emails (certificate delivery, payment receipts, account alerts). We do not send unsolicited marketing emails.
Improve the platform: Analyse usage patterns to fix bugs and develop new features.
Comply with law: Respond to legal requests and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

Service providers: Third-party vendors (e.g. Razorpay for payments, AWS for hosting) who process data strictly on our behalf under confidentiality agreements.
Certificate recipients: Recipient names, email addresses, and certificate details are shared with the intended recipient and are accessible via the public verification page.
Legal compliance: If required by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority.
Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, provided the successor entity honours this policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Issued certificate records are retained indefinitely to support verification requests. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
Deletion: Request erasure of your personal data (subject to our legal obligations).
Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Objection: Object to certain processing activities.
